After seven long years, songwriter, singer, and composer Kelsey Lu is back.

The American artist is ringing in her new era with a Lu, Jack Antonoff and Yves Rothman-produced single, "Running To Pain," alongside a Savanah Leaf-directed music video starring Titane actress, Garance Marillier, which shows Lu and Marillier displaying a deep connection while in Lanzarote, Spain's stark volcanic landscape.

The single indicates a more straightforwardly pop direction for Lu, who's last album, 2019's Blood, was soaring, slow, and orchestra;. "Running To Pain," on the other hand, sounds coming-of-age-movie-ready, with a soaring, synth-buoyed hook and a head pounding drum machine beat.

The forthcoming album, So Help Me God out June 12 via Dirty Hit, was co-produced by Lu, Antonoff and Rothman, and features contributions from Sampha, Kamasi Washington and Kim Gordon.

As part of the announcement, Lu has shared So Help Me God's album art and track list.
