I always thought it was a shame that by the time Zara Larsson's Midnight Sun album was released in September 2025, summer was already over. Luckily, the star, who's riding a groundswell of new fame and viral popularity, is rectifying this moral wrong with a forthcoming deluxe version of the album, expected to arrive — and thank god for this — at the top of summer 2026.

That's right, a Midnight Sun deluxe album is in the works and has already been teased countless times by Larsson, who's let slip a few key details about what we can expect from the project (another PinkPantheress collab, perhaps?!). Ahead, see everything we know about the record, including the release date, features, remixes, and more.

When is the release date for the Midnight Sun deluxe album?

No exact date has been announced yet but the singer confirmed May 2026.

Is Midnight Sun deluxe a remix album?

Yes. The singer revealed that the Midnight Sun deluxe album will be made up of reimagined remixes of the tracks that feature guest artists, as well as completely new songs.

What else has Zara Larsson said about Midnight Sun deluxe?

It turns out Charli xcx's brat deluxe album, Brat and it's completely different but also still brat, was a heavy inspiration for Larsson's Midnight Sun deluxe. "I was super inspired [...] specifically by the Charli remix album. I just thought that was such a fun thing to do," she said.

MNEK, a producer of Midnight Sun, will seemingly be returning for the deluxe as he's been seen interacting with fans around the deluxe project.

Who will be featured on the Midnight Sun deluxe album?

No features have been confirmed yet, however Larsson has teased that the guest features are "incredible people" that she's "been dreaming of working with." She's also revealed that all the features will be women. "I kind of just want to support and surround myself with incredible women," she's said.
