Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty has been out of federal prison for approximately 6 months. It seems like he'll be headed back pretty soon, after the Department of Justice announced Thursday they had arrested Shiesty alongside Big30 and six others on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping (one conspirator remains at large). And the victim was none other than Shiesty's label boss and collaborator, Gucci Mane. See the full DOJ press conference above.

Through a rep, Pooh Shiesty's team declined to comment on the situation when contacted by The FADER. Alleged coconspirators in the crime include Shiesty's father, Lontrell Williams, Sr., and the evidence the DOJ listed out doesn't seem to bode particularly well for Shiesty's case.

Electronic monitoring places Shiesty at the location of the crime, in violation of his home detention conditions. Add in a combination of cell phone records, rental car receipts, Greyhound Bus tickets, fingerprints, surveillance footage, and yes, social media posts of stolen jewelry by his eight alleged co-conspirators, and you get the sense his lawyers will have a tough path ahead of them.

The alleged robbery took place on Jan. 10 in Dallas, TX. The DOJ says Shiesty invited Gucci Mane and two other victims to a business meeting in order to discuss the terms of his recording contract. Once they arrived at the music studio, Shiesty and his eight co-conspirators "executed an armed takeover," with Pooh Shiesty forcing Gucci Mane to sign a release from his recording contract with an AK-style pistol.

Gucci and the two other victims were robbed of their watches, jewelry, and cash, with one victim being choked to "near unconsciousness."
