Chanel Beads, the expansive musical project of Shane Lavers, announces his sophomore record, Your Day Will Come, the follow up to his 2025 album, also named Your Day Will Come.

The identically titled new record is not a re-hash of his last, but an entirely new project. A press release shares that the new record's (re)title was inspired by the enduring resonance of the phrase, "evoking a tension between certainty and doubt that preoccupied his psyche."

The announcement of the new album comes with a lead single, "Song for the Messenger" alongside an original music video. "Song for the Messenger" features Lavers's signature pitched up vocals over a bed of loose, but emotionally attuned instrumentation, featuring live drums, loose strings, and warped guitar textures. Its lyrics reflect a sense of despair and doggedness, but still bristle with a certain raw hope.

The album was recorded with central collaborators like volinist Zachary Paul and vocalist Maya McGrory (who releases music as Colle), with contributions from Tchad Cousins (Urika’s Bedroom), Mari Maurice (More Eaze), Anastasia Coope, Bella Litsa and Isaac Eiger (Threshold).

The project comes after a whirlwhind time in Chanel Beads's career, after 2024's Your Day Will Come inspired industry and critical adoration, and minted notable new fans like Lorde, who brought Chanel Beads on as an opener on key dates on her North American Ultrasound Tour.
