KidSuper/Bape
BAPE and KidSuper’s latest World Cup collaboration isn’t siding with any one team. Just in time for the major soccer tournament, the two streetwear brands reunited for the biggest sneaker collection in celebration of the quadrennial event. Coincidentally, it’s also timed to the 25th anniversary of the BAPE’s retro low-top kicks, BAPE STA.
Each sneaker is inspired by one of the 48 countries competing at the 2026 World Cup. Team colors from the respective countries are doused on leather uppers, complete with a glossy finish and the sneaker’s signature star motif. KidSuper’s Brooklyn influence isn’t left out of the mix. The brand’s “eye” logo is featured on the star branding, and a face-like graphic is etched on the heel of the shoe.
The accompanying campaign is just as noteworthy. To ring in the special-edition launch, KidSuper founder Colm Dillane spearheaded a portrait series with 48 grandmothers hailing from each of represented countries. They were photographed at home, sporting their nation’s pair.
The SuperBape Cup collection is priced at $325. Selected designs from 10 countries — Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and the United States — are available for purchase at BAPE stores. All 48 sneakers, including the remaining 38 pairs, are available for purchase at superbape.com. Resale platform StockX will host an auction for the full collection starting Friday, June 11, at 3 p.m. ET to Monday, June 15, at 8 p.m. ET.
