Lucki was allegedly caught up in a major brawl outside of ComplexCon in LA this weekend. Multiple videos of an altercation outside of the venue appeared to show the Chicago rapper bleeding from a wound to his neck. Speaking with LA Times and KTLA-5 about the incident, LAPD confirmed that four individuals had been injured following a fight that broke out among a large group of people.
Police said the fight was ongoing when they arrived on scene, but quickly broke up. LAPD said those individuals' injuries were consistent with "stab wounds or lacerations." None of the victims were identified. Two of the wounded were transferred to the hospital, while another, presumably Lucki, transported themself to the hospital. The fourth injured person suffered a laceration to the elbow and declined medical assistance on site.
Several videos of the encounter have made their way to social media. The FADER is not linking these videos due to their graphic nature. In addition, while the clips span multiple angles and time frames, they do not depict the presumed assailant or the alleged knife attacks. Multiple clips did appear to show Lucki bleeding from a wound to the neck, including one clip where security guards attempt to help the rapper into a car. Lucki's team has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
Per TMZ, LAPD is investigating the incident as an attempted homicide, and Playboi Carti was on the scene but not involved in the fight, watching the incident from a car. While Carti and Lucki have collaborated on music in the past, the pair appear to have been at odds in recent years. While Carti and Lucki have previously jabbed at each other through social media, Lucki has emphasized in interviews he doesn't have beef with the Atlanta rapper.
In a statement to PEOPLE Magazine, ComplexCon said in part, "“The safety and security of our guests, talent, partners and staff is our highest priority. We are aware of an incident that occurred outside the ComplexCon event yesterday and our security team and the LAPD responded immediately. We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously [...]"
Saturday night, Carti and Ken Carson headlined ComplexCon as part of a Opium label takeover for the festival.
