Starting in January 2027, Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr will embark on a world tour performing across Europe, the U.K., and North America. This 20-city international run comes on the heels of the release of Starr’s critically acclaimed album Starrgirl, released on August 14. Before traveling to Europe in January, Starr will close out the year with a special return to Africa — more details to come.
With two Grammy nominations and multiple albums under her belt, Starr is a force to be reckoned with. Starrgirl debuted at No. 2on the Spotify Global Top Albums Chart, and at No. 1on Apple Music’s top album charts in 15 countries. On October 5th, Starr released the music video for “Heaven Baby” featuring ZAYN, which quickly amassed over 40 million global streams and hit No. 1on the Shazam Global Viral Chart within a week of its release. Since the release of her debut album, 19 & Dangerous, Starr has seen collaborations with the likes of Wizkid, Stormzy, Rema, and Coldplay- not to mention a co-sign from Rihanna.
In an interview with the FADER, Starr shared about the project, “I’ve been moving from the point of view of I have to be. With Starrgirl, it’s just like, I am.” Read the interview here.
