Worldpeace DMT announce 20-date U.S. tour

Worldpeace DMT want to know: do you like a rock ‘n roll? That’s the first and most pressing question at hand for Leo Fincham and Rowan Please, whose latest album Stick Around For Tea refines their omnivorous indie rock sound, part 2010’s twee, part Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club. Following a string of shows in LA, Chicago, and NYC, the London duo are taking their show on the road in 2027, circling the continental U.S. before closing things out in Toronto. They’ve also dropped a new video for Stick Around highlight “Ivy.” Watch that music video above, and check out the full list of tour dates below.

Stick Around For Tea has catapulted Fincham and Please to new heights of indie stardom. Along with Please’s other duo, The Femcels, Worldpeace DMT has occasionally been lumped in with the burgeoning “laptop twee” scene, thanks in part to their music’s melding of acoustic and digital textures. But it’s probably more accurate to think about them the way you would any rock band – they just happen to use their laptops a little more than some of their peers. Back in July, Please cited Karen Carpenter, The Beatles, and Matt & Kim as inspirations for her bands’ musical stylings.
