underscores teamed up with League of Legends on music for a new skin
The Mythic Variant DJ Sona Ultimate Remix skin will be released on November 18.
underscores is about to enter the world of League of Legends.
On November 3, the popular MOBA series League of Legends announced a new Mythic Variant skin for its character Sona, titled DJ Sona Ultimate Remix. After the announcement, Brandon Zangora, a music designer at Riot Games, took to X to thank underscores for helping create the cosmetic's music. The skin is set to release on November 18.
From clips online shared by fans and League of Legends, it appears that players will be able to hear underscores' compositions as soon as a match begins; the music for the cosmetic plays continuously through the game. And if the previews are any indication, the music sounds very close to the electronic-pop fusion that animates U.
While many underscores fans across social media have expressed interest in acquiring the skin, they should be warned that it will be expensive. The skin can only be acquired by chance, and each attempt to acquire it, or "pull it," will cost 400 Riot Points, the in-game currency. The skin is guaranteed on the 40th pull, so you'll spend 16,000 RP in total. Some players may get lucky and pull before the 40th pull; however, the math doesn't stack up in most players' favor, and 16,000 RP roughly amounts to $120 to $140, depending on which RP packs you buy.
