Erykah Badu is releasing her new album New AmErykah late next month, and to be honest, we weren’t expecting anything too crazy. Trust, we’d pre-slotted her into the cd carousel between Sade and Bilal because WE ARE TRYING TO GET OURS, but this sounds more like Lee Perry. Produced by treemaster extraordinaire Madlib, “Healer” has Badu babytalking some shit about Ras Tafari and quoting Dead Prez, ie STONER JAM. We’re into it.
