Video: Phoenix, “1901″
- story THE FADER
Dazed & Confused, who we find ourselves intersecting fairly frequently, just premiered the video for Phoenix’s inarguable summer jam “1901,” which we have coincidentally listened to 1,901 times as of right this minute. And counting. What makes this more of a big deal is that Dazed Digital actually commissioned the directors, a motion graphics studio named Bogstandard, and produced the video themselves. A great idea, as long as they didn’t have to fire an editor to pay for it! The video did turn out excellently, though, with the band simply playing onstage while choreographed lights flicker over them. Watch the video here and on MTV2’s Subterranean whenever they decide to play it.
