Talbot Tagora, “Ichthus Hop” MP3
- story Sam Hockley-Smith
One time we hit up Seattle’s Talbot Tagora to find out what their deal was. They responded to our questions in all caps and then informed us that their band wasn’t named after the funny looking car but actually had to do with some cat they knew. “Ichthus Hop” is the first single from their upcoming album Lessons in the Woods or a City. It’s a mess of guitars crashing with off-key vocals floating around on top. It’s not quite a chant, but it’s not really singing either. Its’ fairly impenetrable, but the strong pop structure under all that noise is exposed with a couple listens.
