Video: Coconut Records, “Any Fun”

July 08, 2009

A while ago, early summer, we saw Mark Gonzales skating down Seventh Ave right outside of Whole Foods. He was skating wide S-curves wearing shorts and those big khaki hats with nets that beekeepers wear. And maybe a bright yellow shirt, not sure. He directed this video for Jason Schwartzman's solo pop vehicle, Coconut Records. (Rumor is Schwartzman is a FADER fan—Jason, holler.) Chloe Sevigny shoots video, skate dudes coast, a pretty girl reads Roberto Bolano. Or at least she flips through the book, same dif. Looks like Coconut Records is the mumblecore version of Schwatzman's other band. See for yourself after the jump.
