Premiere: Nite Jewel, “Falling Far” MP3

Nite Jewel exist in a wobbly cough syrup haze, making dance music that’s just enough off that it would feel weird to actually dance to it. Maybe you catch “Falling Far” on the radio while driving late night, or maybe you realize that it exists in the same realm as any old VHS tape you find laying on the sidewalk: quavering fidelity, colors bleeding. It’s nostalgic and disconcerting at once and we hear that if you listen to Good Evening on repeat it totally syncs up with Mulholland Drive. If it doesn’t work it’s no one’s fault but your own.
