Most days, if you asked us what we really needed in life we would not be like “more XX remixes.” But they exist, and we listen diligently pretty much because The XX put out a great album and we are children of the internet so our patience for waiting for just about anything maxes out somewhere around five minutes. CHLLNGR—who is a new signing on Green Owl—doesn’t let the original’s smokey cool intensity get lost in all the additional bass, instead creating a much thicker background for the band to coo romantic nothings over. It’s like getting punched in the face with kisses!
