Jai Paul, “BTSU” MP3

April 06, 2010

We could not not listen to this after checking the ridiculous picture along with it. If Jai Paul's music career doesn't work out, he could always go back to New Orleans in 1997 and make rap album covers for No Limit. Fortunately, he can write a tune, too. "BTSU" starts with the tiny, pretty whisper of Don't fuck with me, though it soon explodes from its small man/big mouth beginnings into a synth storm. Then the squall settles again, back to lazy snare snap and his little coo. At some point there's smooth saxophone, just a touch. He's definitely spent some time listening to dubstep but also probably a bunch of Madonna and Pete Rock and probably was into video games with lasers. Dude's on some shit, check the other tracks on his MySpace and stay tuned.
