At this point, what else can we say? Young Jeezy is a master of the pre-album buildup. He stays out of the spotlight for months, then drops a flurry of mp3s in anticipation of his next record and accompanying mixtape. It's a pretty standard formula, but he has it down pat. "I'm Just Saying" is the next track from Trap Or Die II: By Any Means Necessary—which may be coming later today or may be coming tomorrow—and it's another leak that points to Jeezy embracing a calmer style. Normally this is the point when we would be like, THAT IS BECAUSE HE IS GETTING OLD. But with Jeezy, it doesn't seem to be the case so much. Instead, he's jumping into the role of the weathered rap veteran, which seems too soon until you remember that since Thug Motivation 101, the rap industry as money-making enterprise has pretty much collapsed around him. He's walking proof that it's not even close to dead, though.
