Video: Kele, "Tenderoni"

When we heard Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke was holed up recording his solo album, we figured it wasn't going to be another jagged post-punk affair. But we never expected something so explicitly dancey for his first single, which was naive considering he enlisted electro-brainiacs Hudson Mohawke and XXXChange to produce. "Tenderoni" is all amped up for 3AM at the club with its hands in the air, and while we'd gotten used to hearing Kele's throaty yowls on the light electronic elements of Bloc Party's latter period, we never thought he'd sound this good soundtracking some rave juice.... or his own shirtless neon and black light Robocop suits. Hey Kele, give us your glow in the dark pants!
