Already a delicate track, Deadboy's take on UK sensations Foals' single "Spanish Sahara" creeps along lightly, stingy with the church organ, brittle with the drums. But midway, it picks up, some sad bloop de bloops leading into rave chords, which somehow feel even more despondent than the minimalism. All good music from the UK these days, rock or dance, seems infused with some inherent bummer. These sad tracks are, in turn, making us happy. Which feels fucked up. We're leeches. :/
