Much can be written about Waka Flocka's relentless quest to prove that he knows his shit when it comes to rap. How it means that he actually cares more about his music than he would have you believe and how much of a conflict that might be for him. This dude makes a point of screaming his own name over his verses, as if he wants to prove that what he is saying doesn't matter at all. And yeah, a lot of the time it doesn't. Waka Flocka makes fight music and it sounds awesome and is really fun to listen to. "Fuk Dis Industry," the latest in a (hopefully) long line of completely over-the-top videos for songs that will probably end up on mixtapes, is a little more introspective, Waka Flocka employing this vaguely unsettling sing-song flow and keeping the copious WAKA WAKA WAKA FLOCKA adlibs to an absolute minimum. It's definitely not his most shining moment as a rapper, but it works in its complete eerie honesty.
