Finding Love with Lauryn Hill, Ron Isley and Gucci Mane

September 09, 2010

It's not normally our policy to wake up to a song as sedate as a cover of Burt Bacharach's "Close to You," but think of this as the equivalent of hitting the sauna before you beast out another work day. And sitting inside that sauna, flanking you on either side, are Lauryn Hill and Ron Isley, swaying and serenading, occasionally misting you with eucalyptus oil (that shit clears out your sinuses). And after that sensual morning mind-massage, you bump Gucci Mane's remix of Chris Brown's (rich) girl-dumping song in your Ferrari on the way to your job, and you feel sad for him because he has been so burned, so you call your "Close to You"-covering friends (at this point you have morphed into Ari from Entourage) and have them go over to Gucci's crib to make him feel better. And because of your good deed, all is right in the world, and your karma is awesome, and you fall in love and live happily ever after. THE END.
