This came out on Friday, but we honestly weren't sure what to say about it at the time. It's another Small Black song! It's good! The album is good! You know the drill. The common deal with dudes making slightly skewed pop music right now is that it sounds like a straightforward pop song played from miles and miles away from wherever you might be standing. Small Black began like that—and quickly moved on. Embracing their distorted synth pop leanings and pushing them all right to the front. Like seeing an actual pop band play in the actual room you are in. Weird times that that is any kind of selling point, but if it's good it's good.
