This next single off Cee-Lo’s new Lady Killer album is unabashedly, um, old-fashioned, a literal musical interpretation of Mr. Green’s sentiments. And while that may not be the most exciting thing in the world most of the time, we did hear a young dude blasting vintage, gospel-ish Cee-Lo in his car the other day with the windows down and it was pretty gangster. This also in some way counteracts the assault on decency that was “Fuck You.” And it just might help you get it on with that old lady you’ve been checking out at the farmer’s market on Sunday mornings.
