The last time we saw Freddie Gibbs rap, it was CMJ 2009, he was giving us a private performing in a double queen suite at the Ace Hotel. Though that was pretty much an ideal situation, let's face it—Gibbs has blown up since that happened and can't stay rapping for audiences of three. But our consolation prize wasn't so bad, either. Gibbs played the FADER Fort in full form, with a crew of dudes wearing colorful hats, politely requesting that we pass our herb to the front. Watch him here singing "Slammin'" and imagine how quickly that huge room got to smelling dank.
