Stores are exclusively stocking pajamas and sequined shifts and there are mondo Chabad menorah's lit up in the streets so we know that it's officially Holiday Party season. We figure there are two ways to do this: elegantly spiked Soy Nog cocktails and overwarm conversation over dusty Donny Hathaway, or fully untempered, bruising winter-denial. One time we got caught on camera at a Christmas work party dancing to a ripped CDR called Hip Hop Millennium with our eyes closed and hands in the air, way deep in the latter. No regrets. If you're looking to roll that road too, you could start getting loose with this mix pulled together by Tokyo four girl joy-bender The Suzan. They tucked their own "Home" at the front of the mix and spent the rest of the tape framing their surfy drum-n-chant with a swell of backup acts that would make fit office-friends, if the office planned well-meaning raves. Ladies, go big-excess but keep intentions righteous.
