Today there’s a super-edited soundbite clip from Philly’s 100.3 The Beat Star & Buc Wild morning show floating around, trying to fill rap’s generation gap with muck. The hosts prompt FADER #72 cover star Wiz Khalifa to respond to Ghostface Killah‘s alleged dismissal of his new single (that’s still ranking lower than his old single) “Roll Up.” Wiz said seasoned rappers should watch what they say about new-media savvy acts beloved by his “young generation of fans,” a group they should “probably sell some records to.” Problem is, far as we can tell Ghost hasn’t said shit on the internet about Wiz, has barely even touched his twitter account since his Valentines Day pro-yammin rant. Rather, the “corny” antagonizer was the mystery author of Big Ghost Chronicles, a nasty-funny blog tribute to the particular way Tony Starks employs language. The offending statements were these:

thanks for hooking me up with the hilarity that is Big Ghost!
that roll up track is soft as fk. man listen to that track then put on winter warz track.
whether or not Ghostface made the comments doesn’t matter
the validity of the statements is paramount
wiz is such a disgrace, calling ghostface corny…get slapped lil boy you think im playin ghost dont play that shit. i thought you knew?
