Last Friday night, Erykah Badu joined Matt and Kim onstage at the FADER FORT by FIAT. It was the hottest day of our four in Texas, a fact women responded to by wearing tiny shorts, drapey tanks, silky dresses and various types of jumpers. Erykah rolled up backstage with her hair combed down in perfect day to evening coveralls, equal parts breezy, durable and glamorous. We saw her perform "Soldier" at Bun B's birthday party later that evening—still wearing these necklaces but with pants and a sweet cropped jacket. She still looked great, but not as commanding and cozy as in the gender neutral and steadfast all-kinds-of-curve flattering overalls.
