Interspersed throughout Telepathe's "Destroyer" are heavy drum attacks. These electronic rolls are unexpected, the trills more a highlight than a back beat to Melissa Livaudais and Busy Gangnes tag team of powerful pop vocals. But instead of piling up to plod, the song relents into warm guitar and something soothing. "Destroyer" is the flip side to Telepathe's "Throw Away This," and is, in many ways, more traditional Telepathe. Which is to say, all mixed up and better because of it.
