On The Street: Copenhagen’s Distortion Festival

June 13, 2011

Copenhagen's proud son Henrik Vibskov kept his loose-crotched tradition for A/W 2011, remaining ever-fealty to kooky patterns paired with comfortable fits. This fellow, though, spotted on the street in Nørrebro at the amazing citywide dance party Distortion Festival, clearly isn't sweating his inseam. Drop-crotches were far less prominent on the streets this year despite Vibskov's influence on Copenhagen fashion, most dudes stitched up in favor of prevalent skinnies. Homeslice with the vertebrae had some of the best: clean-lined carnival stripes summoning Piccadilly Circus in Vivienne Westwood's early days, with the added chutzpah of matching graphics and, apparently, a really great personal trainer. It should be noted that he was standing outside of a bar that was pumping Cam'ron's "Killa Cam," and everyone was rapping along, himself included.
