Its words write a mini movie—Ocean lays in bed and tries to sell you a beach house in Idaho. Dimmed power chords set in, Ocean imagines long-haul driving with a girl he tells he doesn’t love, but likes enough to keep kissing.

People seem to completely misinterpret this song. He clearly says he’s been thinking about forever. The metaphors are being used to show the person how silly/ ridiculous it is that they don’t think he really loves them. He’s saying if you don’t believe this, then I’ve got a beach house I can sell you in Idaho. It’s actually pretty romantic.
