With the first leak from his free 1977 album (out tomorrow if Def Jam just let's it be), Terius Nash, bka The-Dream, is good again. In an R&B summer where the handful of songs he sporadically released largely failed to be good songs, "Wake Me When It's Over" is a godsend. The drums are right, the synths wash proper. I love the way you smell, but you're always on some bullshit isn't the most poetic Dream line, but it's prototypical: intimate, but vaguely, and scorned, clearly. Life on the internet, I look like the devil/ but you wearing that red dress, holding a shovel. So excited right now, going to go outside and see how the sun looks.
