Lykke Li smashing hearts with this one, her cover of the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody,” performed acoustic for Australia’s Triple-J radio. You know what this sounds like a little bit? Remember James’ song from Twin Peaks, the one he played with Donna and Maddy on the floor, and the sharp sides of the love triangle are articulating themselves around the song, lyrics and sideways glances all tied up? Twin Peaks wishes it was this. Sung so beautifully, she really did sadness justice.
