New Zealand-based animator and illustrator Ned Wenlock made this video for MGMT’s Bauhaus cover, “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything.” The song, which slowly and sweetly describes the daily grind in a factory town, is appropriately animated, with a cityscape unfurling across the screen, smokestacks and all. The rigmarole may get tiresome, but Wenlock makes it look lovely.

pretty accurate cover with attention to detail but somehow doesn’t capture the magnificence of the original work
