Yeti magazine just released Yeti Twelve in a new square format with cover art by Carson Ellis. The issue features a photo essay from the Alan Lomax Archives chronicling his 1959 "Southern Journey"; poet Margarita Shalina’s recollections of the NYC 1980s hardcore scene, Kim Spurlock’s annotated trove of Neal Cassady, photos by Nina Dudoladova of Abandoned Forts in Kaliningrad, Russia, an epic essay on forgotten ’90s surf band The Tiki Men, and much much more. Additionally, they've got free downloads of accompanying music, including this great Grouper cover of defunct Portland punk band, Dead Moon's, "Demona."
