Video: Major Lazer f. Amber Coffman, “Get Free”

Director So Me pairs Major Lazer‘s surprisingly understated, flute-embellished “Get Free” with the rhythms of life in Jamaica, setting shots of hair braiding, bench pressing and horse jockeying in time with Switch and Diplo’s chugging instrumental. Diplo, seen here diving off a cliff, also worked with producers Ariel Rechtshaid and Dre Skull on Major Lazer’s upcoming album Free the Universe, out November 6th on Downtown/Mad Decent.

    “Switch and Diplo’s chugging instrumental”?

    Didn’t Switch leave the project?

Yeah, Switch left last year, I think. “Major Lazer” is just Diplo and guests, now.

Major Lazer is currently Diplo Walshy Fire and Jillionaire
Mad Decent have had two solid videos in two days.. and if you include ‘Express Yourself’ three killers in a row!

As confirmed by Diplo’s PR, “Get Free” is a Switch and Diplo beat. Diplo’s currently the sole executive producer of Major Lazer, and working with a bunch of producers on the new album.
