In Portland With: Music Fest NW

September 24, 2012

Music Fest NW is the perfect way to learn Portland. For five nights, bands from the fest's insane lineup perform in venues spread across town, the city quickly becoming a seamless blend of cabs, lines and lights. One minute you're dancing to Flying Lotus in Nike's Wonder Ballroom, the next, you're making your way across the river to catch a hit of Swans. Close your eyes, then you're front row for Tanlines, then suddenly it's 2AM, and you're ending your night sipping a tall boy with Portland's own Blouse as your closing soundtrack. Read our full review of this year's festival here, and check out interviews with A-Trak, Nosaj Thing and Jacques Greene, plus live highlights from Chelsea Wolfe, Dinosaur Jr., Wild Nothing and more above.
