Mixtape veteran Bay Area duo Main Attrakionz pull back and focus on Bossalinis & Fooliyones, their first full-length for a label, structuring their raps and chanted hooks around airy productions from Harry Fraud, Zaytoven and Supreme Cuts. The lyrics are downtrodden and messily croaked as ever, but there’s a lot of barely-suppressed rosiness, too: the cheerful lovers-for-the-weekend bounce of “Green On Sight” and the glowing celebration of tight-knit crews on “Do It For The Bay.” Gucci Mane is one of just a couple guests featured, and he sounds incredible over super-minimal keys on steely closer “Superstitious.” Stream the entire album below, out October 23 via Young One, and revisit Main Attrakionz’ extensive back-catalog at their Bandcamp.
