The Things I Carry: Big Boi

We always like to know what some of our favorite artists carry in their purses (and man-purses)—the essential items that they need for touring or subway rides, the Grammys or any other thing that they might be doing these days, which is why we’ve made it a regular column on the site.

Big Boi, the spry 37-year-old with a new bowling trophy and an album on the way, stopped by FADER offices recently to talk about life on the festival circuit and his kids' football seasons. Our full conversation with Big is forthcoming, but until then here's the everyday contents of his cargo pockets: no less than three lighters and a partly-smoked machine-rolled joint. Not pictured: an intensely cracked and faded Georgia driver's license and a plushy green pillow pet for cozy travel.
