Video: When Saints Go Machine f. Killer Mike, “Love and Respect”

Copenhagen’s artful pop four-piece When Saints Go Machine, whose 2011 LP Konkylie deserved far more praise, have taken an unexpected route with their followup, Infinity Pool, wrangling Atlanta rapper and onetime FADER cover star Killer Mike to jump on the album’s opening track and first single, “Love and Respect.” I’ve been going back and forth whether this is a brilliant or terrible idea, but after a number of listens I’m enjoying the hell out of the juxtaposition. Watch the dramatic video, directed by Frederik Hviid and Sebastian Birk, then see the album’s zany trailer. Infinity Pool comes out May 28th on !K7.
