"Dreamtrap" is the fat-snared, reverb-swimming new track from Toronto duo Moon King, featuring vocals by guitarist Maddy Wilde and some electronic flourishes by the other member Daniel Moon King's brother, Airick Woodhead of Doldrums. Moon King's Obsession II EP comes out on April 29th via One Big Silence, the label of Fucked Up guitarist Mike Haliechuk. We asked Daniel the story behind the track and he had this nice yarn to spin:

I was in Vienna on the last night of a tour and after the show decided to wander around the city for a while. This turned into an all-nighter type thing, of course (aka I got lost), and I ended up spending a few hours in this train station around dawn, just singing to myself. So all the melodies were originally recorded in this echoey Austrian train station, then when I got back to Canada I made an instrumental demo. Maddy's vocals were added only on the last night of recording Obsession II, at the suggestion of Mike Haliechuk. We wrote and recorded them on the spot.
