The Best of the Met Gala Red Carpet: Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kimye and More

May 06, 2014

After last year’s overly campy punk-themed Met ball, painfully without a wink of irony, chairwoman Anna Wintour and her crew revised their strategy. This year, male attendees were required to wear white tie attire and suit tails, and the ladies, channeling the evening's honoree, American couturier Charles James, were encouraged to go for voluminous gowns. Attendees went all out, letting designers like Givenchy, Lanvin and Prada take more risks than usual. Here are the best looks from the runway.
