Stream "Up Is Up (But So Is Down)," a New Song from Dum Dum Girls/Crocodiles Duo Haunted Hearts

FADER PREMIERE

Married songwriters Dee Dee and Brandon Welchez (of the bands Dum Dum Girls and Crocodiles respectively), make vintage rock music together as Haunted Hearts. At this point, it would be really boring to talk about which early-'90s band they kind of sound like as opposed to just mentioning that their songs are cool and noisy and vaguely psychedelic with big, sharp hooks. Initiation is the duo's debut full-length and "Up Is Up (But So Is Down)" is that record's grungy and bright second single. Per usual, it's stitched together with the kind of gothic optimism (she's gonna love you 'til you're dead) that has come to define the pair's signature sound, both separate and together. Initiation is out May 27th on vinyl via Zoo Music and cassette via Dream Recordings.
