Tonight The-Dream officially has inaugurated his newly-announced label-like venture with longtime collaborator Tricky Stewart, Contra-Paris, with the release of a lovey-dovey new 8-track EP called Royalty: The Prequel. The project, his first since his surprising split with Def Jam earlier this year, includes nods to his recent walk down the aisle ("Wedding Bells") and salutes to hip-hop heroes past and present ("Pimp C Lives" and "OutKast").
