Prince doesn't exactly do things half-assed. On Monday morning, following two-year's worth of experimental music stunts, the superstar announced will release two new albums on September 30th, following his recent return to Warner Bros. Records. The first record, Art Official Age, was described as a “classic Prince album,” featuring music produced, composed and performed by the Purple One and bandmate Joshua Welton. The other record, Plectrumelectrum, is a funk-rock effort featuring Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL. Several of the latter's songs were previously performed on the 'Hit and Run' tours in the U.K. earlier this year. A “series of very special events” are scheduled to coincide with the releases and additional live dates are promised. Over/under on the amount of babies born next June? Bets on.
