Charismatic rapper Mac Miller knows how to draw a crowd's attention on a Los Angeles street with rhymes, flowers, and cupcakes. Tha's what the young hip-hop artist originally from Pittsburgh did a few months ago for his latest video, the jazzy and cerebral "Diablo," which dropped yesterday. Surrounded by a subdued-looking group of people, Miller raps and even name-drops Justin Bieber alongside his oldjewish.com truck—a reference to his Web site from which fans could download his most recent mixtape Faces. We profiled Miller last year for our Fall Fashion issue in which he addressed about being the most high-profiled of the 'frat rappers,' something that he downplayed. “That was never me,” he once told us. “I never went to college, I was never in a frat, I was always uncomfortable at college parties. I didn’t even go to parties!” Given this new video and the rate his star is rising, Miller doesn't have to worry about parties—he is the party.
