Although it turns out to be another straightforward, yet successful, iteration of the trance pop-adapting format so popular in Dancehall right now, you’d be forgiven for thinking the new Vybz Kartel track “Ignite The World” might have something to do with Atlanta in its first few bars. Those round 808’s and that delayed organ stab—they bring to mind Drumma Boy in particular and that entire scene in general. Sure, Vybz isn’t doing anything super original here, but it doesn't matter—he brings his sugary, ebullient croon to another solid single that’s hard to close the window on, much less listen to just once.
