Detroit's Dej Loaf floated out of nowhere at the top of the month with "Try Me," a dreamy shooter's anthem with butter soft delivery. The 23-year-old spits like Fredo Santana with the voice of a Disney child star: Tell me how you want it, I'm on it, I really mean it I'm not just recording--a Drake cosign and Wiz remix have only stoked the flames. Today, FADER premieres an A/B video for "Try Me" and "We Good," in which Dej sports an MCM bucket and D-Generation X jersey with light-limbed ease. On both cuts, family runs paramount: a tiny Dej shouts big cousins and brothers, and her mom sits by her side throughout. Talk this tough never looked this sweet.
