Listen to a New Gorgon City Track Feat. Erik Hassle

The British duo release “FTPA” off their forthcoming album Sirens.

September 30, 2014

“FTPA” is a new song off of Gorgon City’s debut album Sirens, out October 7th. It was co-written with Erik Hassle—most well known for his single “Think About It”—while the group was in Los Angeles on their recent U.S. tour. Form the very outset, the tune evokes the kind of smooth, R&B-inflected Balearic sentimentality of something like Sébastian Tellier’s “La Ritournelle,” working with mood and timbre to create a gliding, almost mauve sound palate. A Hammond B3 organ tinkers into the mix with heavy subbass and some more ‘90s pop stylings, creating a vague nostalgia for nothing and everything in particular. Check it out below, preorder the album here, and be on the lookout for Gorgon City's U.S. tour, starting October 9th.
