Tyga’s Resolution Remains Unbroken With “Make It Work”

Tyga makes his latest statement while awaiting the release of his new album.

Tyga's currently wrapped up in label drama, throwing some tense words at Drake and arm-wrestling Young Money over the status of The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. But beyond the music industry politics, his music continues to refine to a sharper and sharper edge. "Make It Work" is a minimalist track that treads similar ground to his 2012 hit "Rack City," and, honestly, sounds like a Drake song. But lines like Why these niggas want to test me on the low though / Got no muhfucking patience / But I'm patient with the scope though suggest that despite the trouble on his mind, he can deliver the same humor and skill with words as more celebrated MCs, when provoked.
