Music made Recycle Culture feel things this year, so the Minneapolis zoner put together a mix to celebrate that. Split between two "programs," his MMXIV REMIXTAPE features edits of songs by a bunch of artists FADER also really loved in 2014: Lana, Doss, Dean Blunt, Grouper, Lewis. Here, he's isolated Program #1's opening mash-up, which blends "Baby Come Home" by Ibiza-based electronic composer Mark Barrott with Pure X's "Fly Away With Me Woman." Between Jesse Jenkins's soulful vocals and Barrott's woozy, barefoot-on-the-beach production, the combo feels almost comically mellow. Stream it above, download both parts of the "remixtape" right here, and check out FADER's 116 Best Tracks list to see where we overlapped.
